Cat Kabira: Low Cost Ecommerce Systemcat ecommerce website

Cat Kabira is a yoga teacher who teaches in a number of location including Bali, USA and Australia. We already run Cat's website updating her new yoga courses, sessions and news. Cat has recently produced a new DVD called 'A Journey to Your Core Strength' and wanted a low cost ecommerce system to allow her to sell the DVD from her website. This is a great dvd for practitioner of all levels - whether they are just starting out or a more seasoned yogi. Included is a 90 minute flow and a 90 minute teaching break-down - so that they have access to more in-depth knowledge on the alignment and energetics of each pose.

The ecommerce webpage allows her clients to buy the DVD directly fro her website using a PayPal checkout system. This is a great method for selling if you only have a few items.

The left images is of the new PFAF website with the old design shown on the right.

Plants For A Future is a resource centre for rare and unusual plants, particularly those which have edible, medicinal or other uses. They practise vegan-organic permaculture with emphasis on creating an ecologically sustainable environment based largely on perennial plants. Their website consisting of information pages and a database of 7000 plants has over 25 000 hits per day with an enthusiastic and dedicated group of users. PFAF wanted to improve the design of the website and to make it more user friendly. They wanted the inclusion of a blog, forum and more interactivity for the user. In addition they wanted a content management system (CMS) where their staff and volunteers could easily add and edit new plants in the database, add and edit pages and contribute towards the blog. We have also included the features 'Plant of The Week', and a plant rating system.

Louise Barrow Associates

Louise is a talented graphic designer based in Byron Bay who designs logos, identities, packaging, illustrations, printed material, and web concepts. Louise loves to design but didn't want to get involved in the technical side of website creation. Working with Louise has allowed her to focus on the graphic design while I work on the technical building of the websites. She also gets the added advantage of working with a professional web designer for her own website. With new and interesting graphic design projects being developed all the time, we can easily and quickly update her website to represent her current work. Since I started working with Louise we have improved her website optimisation. Her Google position, for her keywords, is now on page one (currently second position).

  • The website has been improved to make it more visual. Products now have pictures. Photographs are used to improve the sites appearance. Icons have been added for quick visual identification of information.
  • I have supported the company's marketing with: keyword analysis, Pay per Click, video (off and on site), site appearance, link building, blogging, HTML marketing emails, and article submission.
